Why use a data centre?
It can be hard to put a value on the data stored on your servers. Whether they contain customer
and supplier details, commissioned work or project management databases, ICT systems are
business-critical for most companies. As such, it makes sense to ensure your servers are secure
and protected from damage due to humidity, overheating or fire.
Located on-site at Capital Business Park, the data centre offers clients and tenants dedicated co-location facilities, providing Secure and environmentally controlled conditions for your ICT systems.
Secure facility
The data centre is monitored 24/7 by CCTV in addition to out of hours security guard patrols.
Access is controlled using electronic keys; only authorised data centre users
are permitted access.
Environmental monitoring and protection
Air conditioning ensures that the temperature within the data centre is kept at optimum operating
levels. The centre is also equipped with environmental monitoring technology that will detect
changes in temperature and humidity and send relevant remote alerts to our ICT and Facilities
teams. In addition, a fire suppression system is installed to minimise the risk of fire damage.
Data safe
If you need somewhere safe to store your system back-up tapes or other business-critical media
and documentation, Aytel also offers a data safe. Located separately in another location,
this secure facility has 24/7 CCTV monitoring and individual lockable units. This service is charged
on a monthly basis per compartment.

Aytel dedicated data centre includes:
• 8 rack units. 2 of these rack units are dedicated to a 4-way power
distribution unit and 16-way Cat 5e patch panel
• Compartmentalised cable containment providing individual power
and data feeds
• Cat 5e data cabling that can be patched through to your unit
Alternatively, for high density requirements, we also host full height 42U
rack enclosures.
